Some kind messages of support for The Realisy Project and The Ring of Truth |

"The Ring of Truth represents the very thing we need on this planet at this time: a more transcendent, much less narcissistic vision; the sense of deep connection among ourselves whatever our differences may be; a positive, engaged response to those in particular need. Indeed, we need a shift from the intellectualization of all of life to the wisdom of the heart. This is a radical shift and The Realisy Project and The Ring of Truth can help us all with it." ~ Thomas Moore "The Ring of Truth symbolizes our deepest aspirations for spiritual understanding and compassionate action in the world. Its simple beauty reflects our own inner nature. May it promote peace and well-being for all." ~ Joseph Goldstein |
"Social change from the Buddhist perspective flows from a change in perception, the startling realization that we're all members of one vast field of interconnected being. Scholars and theologians have misunderstood the Buddha's great discovery, which has been called "selflessness." They claim it means that nobody or nothing exists. Actually, the notion of anatta or no-self means that we exist not as separate, autonomous individuals cut off from everybody else, but as relational beings who are inextricably linked to the whole. When profoundly grasped and lived, this realization frees us from exaggerated self-concern, narcissism, and selfishness. Liberated from our habitual ego identity and identified with the whole, we love all beings and automatically want to relieve their suffering. Enlightenment from a Buddhist perspective actually means falling in love with all beings. This change from self-centeredness to other-centeredness forms the basis for a radical change in our social, political, and ecological outlook. Release from the prison of self-concern leads to an enlightened politics in which we dedicate ourselves to the well-being of others and our planet. This is the consciousness symbolized by The Ring of Truth icon." ~ Robert Thurman |
"The Ring of Truth symbolizes a combination of wisdom and compassion that young people yearn for but hear too little about in our society today." ~ Daniel Goleman
"The Ring of Truth icon is a beautiful symbol of our inter-connectedness, and the project it supports brings some of Ozzy's most wonderful gifts to other youth. It is an honor to support the blessings it offers." ~ Jack Kornfield
"Conceived by a father guided to transform the loss of his son into a gift of healing to the world, The Ring of Truth serves as a beautiful reminder of our deepest yearning and of our capacity to walk with truth and love in partnership with the divine." ~ Robert & Judith Gass
